Measured, not calculated: PScoat on the real building element
A U-value measurement series over almost twelve hours, a thermal image comparison before and after coating, and an experiment with a heated stainless-steel plate. All in the original, with raw data to download.
0.140 W/(m²K) with approx. 0.5 mm of coating
A real historic solid wall, measured with a Testo 635-2 including U-value kit: continuously from 06.09.2026, 20:57, to 07.09.2026, 08:54. Heating off, windows closed, readings taken directly from the recording.
In the stable range the median is 0.139 W/(m²K) and the standard deviation 0.016 W/(m²K); the measurement range runs from 0.111 to 0.177 W/(m²K). Wall build-up: three-leaf historic solid brickwork, cement/lime-cement render, reinforcing mortar with mesh, PScoat coating. Product: Basic B and PSC Build, applied in April 2025 to around 35 m² using about 18 litres of material.
The same facade, before and after
Two FLIR images of the same house. After coating, the wall surface is shown distinctly cooler; uncoated elements such as the roof and dormer stand out more.

Thermal images show surface temperatures without a fixed scale. The images were taken on different days; the wall's U-value is given in the measurement above.
Heated stainless-steel plate: uncoated versus PScoat
A stainless-steel plate on a hob that is switched on, one half uncoated, the other coated with PScoat PSC 250T HP. The contact measurement shows it: the bare half reaches 255.4 °C (Testo 905-T2), while the coated half reads around 22 to 26 °C on the contact thermometer.
The values apply to the measurement described in each case and the documented build-up. The test reports, the CE marking to EN 15824 and the TÜV NORD Verified Product (mark ID 141649) can be found under Certificates and evidence.
